Mr. Byrne has been representing persons in claims for compensation resulting from medical malpractice since 1990. Mr. Byrne has represented both injured persons and the surviving family members of deceased persons, in their medical malpractice claims. Mr. Byrne has litigated cases involving the deaths of patients from failure to timely diagnose and properly treat life-threatening cardiovascular emergency and failure to diagnose and properly treat life-threatening infections. Mr. Byrne has experience in medical malpractice litigation involving: emergency room patients, patients who have been admitted as patients in hospitals, (in-patients), injuries during pregnancy, asthma, diabetes and renal, (kidney), disease. Mr. Byrne has experience in litigation involving: serious complications from prescription steroid medication treatment, serious complications from bedsores, complications from medical radiation, immune suppression, "flesh-eating bacteria" and serious complications from childhood disease.

Mr. Byrne has experience in medical malpractice litigation involving teaching hospitals where doctors in training treated patients. Mr. Byrne has experience in medical malpractice litigation involving adult or pediatric care in the Circuit Courts of: the City of Richmond, Henrico County and Chesterfield County. As a member of the Virginia State Bar, Mr. Byrne is admitted to practice in the Circuit Courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Supreme Court of Virginia. Mr. Byrne has litigated medical malpractice cases before the Supreme Court of Virginia. Mr. Byrne has litigated cases involving government and governmental employees as defendants.

Mr. Byrne has investigated incidents of alleged medical malpractice or alleged adult home neglect causing injury and/or death in incidents involving: falls, stroke, surgical errors, medication errors, internal bleeding, pulmonary embolus, brain injury and dementia.
